Psalm 92:2-3 With ten-stringed instruments and harps, with soothing sounds of the lyre, proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness every night; it is a good thing.
The missionaries of Molian, having endured darkness and turmoil in Fuzhou, regarded health and peace as a divine blessing each morning. Reflecting on Psalm 92:2, my heart often neglects to "proclaim love" amidst the busyness of the day, and forgets to "remember faithfulness" in the unknown darkness of the night. Faced with life's choices and challenges, each morning is not a repetitive occurrence, but a new commission. Do I see this new day as a workshop of service? Only by being consciously grateful in the ordinary, and receiving love in the morning, can I find true rest in every darkness of life through His unchanging faithfulness.
Our Father in heaven, thank you for your unwavering faithfulness in watching over me during the darkest night, sending peace so that I may wake healthy this morning and see the light of healing and hope. Lord, may your love inspire my heart each morning, so that I may not waste my time. Grant me strength and wisdom to dedicate my life, gifts, and time today entirely to serving you and loving my neighbor. Whether in the toil of the day or the darkness of night, may my words and deeds reflect your glory. In the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
