Romans 8:35, 37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? ... But in all these we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Missionary Mei Ziming, knowing full well the war and farewells ahead, resolutely boarded the ship, for in suffering he touched the Lord. This echoes the declaration in Romans: "No trouble, danger, or sword can separate us from the love of Christ." Reflecting on the present, we often lose our way in comfort and waver in the face of minor setbacks. True faith is not about praying to avoid the storms, but about recognizing the destiny of our souls amidst the storms. Only by surrendering our lives completely to the Lord who loves us can we be more than victorious in all challenges and live out our calling without regret.
Loving Lord Jesus, thank you for surrounding me with your unwavering love. Just as you strengthened Missionary Mei Ziming in times of famine and riot, granting him fearless peace, so too do you inspire me today. When facing life's hardships and unknown dangers, remove the fear from my heart, so that I may see not the perils of my circumstances, but the power of your cross. Lord, I surrender the sovereignty of my life to you, believing in your presence in every challenge. Guide me in the destiny of my soul, so that through your love I may be more than conquerors in all things. Amen.
