— Benjamin Hobson
Illness, though a source of suffering in this world, also serves as a wake-up call for the human heart. When the body and mind are weak, one realizes the limitations of one's own strength and turns to God's mercy. The healer performs the procedure, God grants healing, and all glory belongs to heaven.

📖 Scripture Reference

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. For Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions and difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

💭 Reflection

We are accustomed to finding security in favorable circumstances and control, often viewing "weakness" as a flaw to be hidden. However, faith and the Apostle Paul reveal a revolutionary spiritual truth: weakness is precisely the gateway to the manifestation of grace. When illness and setbacks shatter our pride, we realize the limits of human power. It is this "powerlessness" that opens our eyes to hope for salvation. Paul's "thorns" may not have been removed, but he received the promise of "sufficient grace." Weakness is not the end, but the starting point for letting go of attachments and allowing Christ's powerful protection.

🙏 Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, Creator of life: Thank you for your boundless love in our limitations. Lord, facing physical weariness and worldly suffering, we confess our fragility. Forgive our pride, soothe our inner anxieties, and let suffering be an opportunity to awaken our hearts, guiding us to turn back to You. Grant us the promises Paul received, so that when we feel powerless, we may have the confidence that "Your grace is sufficient." May Your power cover our bodies and souls, and give all glory to You in heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
