"John Robert Morrison (1814–1843), son of Robert Morrison, the first Protestant missionary to China, was born in Macau, learned Chinese from his father and studied at the Anglo-Chinese College in Malacca (1827–1830). After his father's death in 1834 he succeeded him as Chinese Secretary and Interpreter to the British Superintendents of Trade. Apart from his official duties, he continued his father's work with the English Protestant church in Canton, supported Chinese converts persecuted by the authorities, revised his father's Bible translation, and in 1840 joined Medhurst, Gützlaff and Bridgman in translating the Bible into Chinese. He died of fever in Hong Kong in 1843, aged 29."

马儒翰（英语：John Robert Morrison，1814年4月17日－1843年8月29日）， 英国诺森伯兰人。 中国近代首世来华基督新教传教士马礼逊的次子，又称小马礼逊。 马儒翰1814年生于澳门，1843年8月29日病死于香港，后来迁葬到澳门贾梅士公园隔壁的英国东印度公司（基督教）坟场，和他父亲玛礼逊、母亲玛丽（Mary）、及出生后不久便夭折的哥哥詹姆斯（James）葬在一起。 鸦片战争时期，参加英方行动，担任过中英《南京条约》谈判的翻译。
英国割占香港后，任香港议政局和定例局委员，兼代辅政司。 马儒翰的名字马儒翰多数袭用父名，自称马礼逊，唯有一次例外自称马儒翰。 述史者为求识别，以其最不常用之名作称呼。 然而，也有前人不求甚解，误以为传教士马礼逊参与了鸦片战争，事实上他早已于1834年过世。
