Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
Ye Changqing traveled across the Sichuan-Tibet border region for over thirty years, spending nine months of every year on the road. He once faced armed bandits and even plunged off a cliff with his horse. Yet, early on, he made up his mind: God always comes first, and any risks taken are for God, not for himself. Paul stated that Christ isइड the head of the church and must have preeminence in everything. This is not merely a missionary slogan, but a daily choice for every believer. Today, in my time, plans, and dreams, does Christ truly hold first place? Or am I simply taking "risks" for myself?
Risen Lord Jesus, You are the head of the body, the church, and the firstborn from the dead. Thank You for reminding me through the life of Ye Changqing that the greatest adventure in life is to live for You. I confess that I often put my own plans, security, and reputation ahead of Yours. Please readjust the order of my heart so that You may have preeminence in my family, work, and service. If You lead me into unfamiliar or difficult paths, grant me the courage not to live for myself, but solely for Your glory. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.
