Malachi 1:11 'For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations,' says the Lord of hosts.
On the Tibetan plateau, missionaries face centuries-old beliefs and traditions that, like permanently frozen mountains, human effort can scarcely budge. Yet their comfort lies not in the visible results they see, but in God's promise: "For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations." The ultimate outcome of the gospel does not depend on the worker's ability, but on God's faithfulness. The "frozen mountain" I face may be a difficult relationship or a stubborn trial, but I can lay down my anxiety, faithfully sow the seed, and leave the results in the hands of the sovereign Lord.
Lord, thank You for being the God who reigns from the rising of the sun to its setting. Thank You for the missionaries who silently sow seeds on the plateau; though they see few results, they remain faithful unto death. When I face seemingly immovable trials and prayers that have had no answer for a long time, please strengthen my faith so that I do not walk by sight, but look only to Your promises. May Your name be magnified in my family, my work, and wherever I am, and please remember the Tibetan people, that they may soon come to know Your love. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
