Philippians 3:10-11: that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
Philippians 3:10 reminds us: true faith is not a safe haven, but a journey of personal following. We often long to experience the salvation of Christ's blood and the sweetness of the living water of life, yet we frequently shy away from the cost of the cross and the refinement of the wilderness. However, without experiencing the stripping and longing in suffering, our understanding of God remains merely conceptual. Only when we are willing to deny ourselves in ordinary or difficult circumstances, conforming to His death, can we truly grasp the reality of living water amidst the dryness of life, and thus become channels of the Gospel of life.
Lord, thank You for reminding me through the footsteps of the saints and Your Word that the path of suffering walked by the Lord Jesus is the way of life leading to true life. Grant me unwavering faith so that I do not shrink back from the difficulties before me, nor sink into complacency in comfort. May Your love inspire me, making me willing to imitate Christ's sacrifice and obedience, and to draw closely to Your heart in the 'wildernesses' of my life. Cleanse me with Your precious blood and fill me with the living water of Your Holy Spirit, that my life may reflect Your sweetness and glory, comforting and blessing the thirsty souls around me. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!
