2 Corinthians 3:17-18 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
This reminder resonates deeply with the teaching of 2 Corinthians, profoundly revealing the true essence of faith: it is never a set of cold dogmas or external moral constraints, but a genuine encounter between life and the living Lord. When the Holy Spirit works within our hearts and the shackles of sin are broken, we no longer anxiously strive to keep the law, but enjoy true freedom in Christ. When we stop hiding and open our hearts to behold the glory of the Lord, His life shines like light into the gloom, gradually restoring within us that original, glorious image. The power of faith lies precisely in this day-by-day contemplation and transformation, shaping the fragile and lowly soul from glory to glory.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for setting us free from the shackles of sin and confusion through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Open our eyes and remove the veil from our hearts, that we may daily behold Your glory with unveiled faces. Lord, do not let our faith degenerate into rigid dogma; may Your Spirit continue to work within us, pouring Your grace, holiness, and love abundantly into our lives. Guide us each day in this world to live out the likeness of Christ, reflecting Your glory, so that more people may see Your living love and salvation in us. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
