2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
In the Gansu corridor, Francesca French and Mildred Cable met a sick and melancholy young man who, within a few days in Christ, was irradiated with new life and read the Scriptures as one who had found great treasure. We often think that certain habits, hurts, or desolate circumstances are impossible to change, but the power of the gospel never depends on a person's past or the desolation of their environment. A new life is not achieved through self-repair, but by allowing the life of Christ to be infused into us. Today, no matter which part of your heart is as dry as a wilderness, or if you are weighed down by the baggage of the past, believe deeply that the love of the Cross can still transcend all that lies behind. It can carve out rivers of living water in the midst of despair, giving you a brand-new beginning.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for accomplishing the power of redemption for me on the Cross. You are the waymaker and the source of living water. May Your precious blood wash away my past hurts and bondages, and fill my heart once again with the power of Your Holy Spirit. When I feel weary or powerless to change in the wilderness of life, please remind me that I am already a new creation in You. Lord, may Your love transform every dark corner of my life, granting me faith and peace, so that I no longer look at past failures but fix my eyes on Your glory. May my life also become a testimony of Your grace, bringing the light of the Cross to the thirsty souls around me. Amen.
