Luke 1:78-79 "Because of the tender mercy of our God, he sends the rising sun out of heaven to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the path of peace."
The Gospel of Luke shows how the Father, out of mercy, bestows the morning sun, bringing us back from the darkness and shadow of death; Haibanming's call reminds us that receiving light is not for self-indulgence and comfort. If we enjoy salvation alone while remaining indifferent to the struggling souls around us, we fail to repay this love. The Great Commission is not only in the distance, but also in our daily lives. May we be wary of spiritual indifference and actively become carriers of the light of Christ's truth and peace.
Dear Heavenly Father: Thank you for your merciful heart, allowing the morning light of Christ to illuminate our lives once shrouded in the shadow of death. Lord, forgive our indifference and selfishness, for we often obscured your light by the pursuit of comfort. Open our eyes to the suffering of the lost souls around us, and grant us fervent hearts and courage to live out love and truth in our families and workplaces. May the Great Commission be engraved in our hearts, and may we be used as vessels of your gospel and light. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
