Dr. David and his wife, with their profound love, transformed this faith into a tangible sacrifice, dispelling the gloom in the ward. Today, love may not require dramatic acts of self-sacrifice, but it does require us to step out of our comfort zones in our daily lives. Faced with the weaknesses and needs around us, are we willing to set aside selfishness and, with patient listening, practical support, and selfless concession, live out the true light of the cross?
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for showing us the most precious true love in the world through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus on the cross. Forgive us for often talking about love but retreating and calculating in our actions. Grant us love and courage, remove the selfishness and indifference in our hearts, so that we may care for those who suffer and are poor around us not only in words but also through concrete actions. May Your true light illuminate the darkness through our dedication, making us vessels to convey Your salvation and warmth. May our words and deeds today glorify Your name.
