Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
We often base our sense of security on tangible resources and human promises, and fall into anxiety when circumstances change. However, Paul reminds us that God's provision is according to His "glorious abundance." Missionary Wang Zai's lesson in faith further challenges us: if we are on God's path, we should firmly believe that He will take full responsibility. True faith is resisting the urge to complain to others or hint at our needs, and in our darkest moments, bringing our needs solely to the living God. For He is a timely God, and He will surely bestow His unreserved abundance upon those who wait faithfully for Him at the most opportune time.
Dear Lord, praise You are the living God who moves all things and never fails. Holy Spirit, forgive me for the anxiety that often arises from seeing what I lack, and for the hopes I secretly place in others. Lord, grant me the pure faith of Missionary Wang Zai, so that today, in my family, work, and ministry, I may learn to reach out solely to You, waiting attentively for Your guidance. I believe that since You guide me, You will take full responsibility for all my needs according to Your glorious fullness in Christ, and reveal Your work at the most opportune time. Amen.
