John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Scripture and famous sayings are like a mirror, reflecting the core of faith: love and grace. Often, we easily stand on moral high ground, casting judgmental and condemnatory glances upon souls struggling with weakness, addiction, or failure. However, Christ's purpose in coming to earth was not judgment, but to find the lost in ruins and mire. True faith never despises any broken life. We should reflect on our own hearts: are we willing to set aside our prejudices and become that hand of grace reaching out from the abyss, delivering redemption and dignity?
Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for showing us Your unwavering love in Jesus Christ. Grant me a perspective that transcends worldly concerns, so that I may see the immeasurable value of every life in Your eyes. Lord, when facing those in addiction, suffering, or moral dilemmas, remove the indifference and judgment from my heart, and grant me the mercy and perseverance that come from You. May Your Holy Spirit fill me, so that my life may be a light, a warm hand, lifting those in despair from the mire, and sharing in the glory of Your children. Amen.
