A vessel truly filled with the Holy Spir…

— Dixon Edward Hoste
A vessel truly filled with the Holy Spirit will never proclaim its fullness; instead, it will be like a completely transparent window, allowing everyone to see directly the glory of Christ beyond its reach. The highest state of our lives is to willingly serve as the scaffolding that builds the temple, so that when God's temple is completed, the scaffolding is dismantled and forgotten, and all glory belongs to the Lord.

📖 Scripture Reference

John 3:30 He shall increase, but I shall decrease.

💭 Reflection

Horst willingly served as a scaffold, seeking only that Christ be seen. Reflecting on my ministry and life, am I building my own "Tower of Babel," or silently constructing God's temple? When John the Baptist said, "He shall increase, but I shall decrease," it was a joy of complete surrender. May I learn to hide behind the Lord, not stealing God's glory, willingly serving as a transparent window, allowing others to see only the beauty of Christ beyond myself.

🙏 Prayer

Lord, empty me of my pride and vanity, and grant me the humility of John the Baptist and the pioneers of missionary work. When Your work prospers and the temple is completed, grant me the willingness to be the scaffolding that is dismantled and forgotten. Lord, may Your name be exalted and Your glory manifested. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
