Galatians 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any effect, but faith that arises from love does.
Kushner likens faith to "silent spring rain," reminding us that truth is not a lofty doctrine, but rather something that seeps into the parched places of life. As Galatians 5:6 says, the most valuable thing in Christ is not outward religious rituals, but "faith that works in love." Faith that does not translate into service and love for others is like raindrops that do not fall to the ground, unable to take root and sprout. Today, I should examine whether my faith remains merely words and knowledge, or whether it has transformed into sweet rain, nourishing the weak and thirsty souls around me.
Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing truth to fall like spring rain, nourishing my hardened heart. Grant me vibrant life force, so that my faith may not become merely dry rituals, but rather emulate the sages, manifesting Your love in ordinary service. Lord, help me to be rooted and built up in Christ, so that my faith may be filled with the power of love, truly "taking root" in society and among people. May my actions today be not only fulfilling responsibilities, but also an expression of love, so that those around me may see Your abundant grace through my service. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
