Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Prayer is often mistakenly seen as a chore or a desperate plea, but John Flint reminds us that it is actually a privilege we children have to enter the treasure trove of Heaven. God is not a stingy giver, but an extremely rich Father. When we come before the throne of grace with a "vessel of gratitude" rather than an "empty bowl," our mindset shifts from humble receiving to glorious receiving. This "fearless confidence" stems from our conviction in Fatherly love. Today, try to let go of the worries that weigh heavily on your heart, and use gratitude as a vessel to receive the abundant grace and help that has already been prepared for you.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you not only for being the Lord of the universe but also for being my incredibly rich Father. Forgive me for often viewing prayer as a burden or for being too weak to approach You. Now, through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, I boldly approach Your throne of grace. I no longer carry an empty bowl of anxiety, but a vessel of praise and gratitude, drawing upon the resources You have promised in Christ. May Your mercy and grace be my ever-present help today, giving me the strength and wisdom I need to face all challenges. I firmly believe that abundant provision awaits me before You. Amen!
