Hebrews 6:19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure, that which enters into the inner sanctuary.
When we find ourselves in the "storms" of life or in the unknown "inland," our eyes are often filled with the harshness of the environment, causing us to overlook the hidden yet loving hand. Tong Genfu discovered in his solitude in Nanjing that God's provision often lies not in earth-shattering miracles, but in the preparation in every "small detail"—perhaps the kindness of a stranger, or a sliver of peace in dire straits. True faith is not about favorable circumstances, but about having an "anchor for the soul" amidst turmoil. Today, try to detach yourself from the trivialities and anxieties of life, and count those small moments around you that we take for granted, yet are in fact God's faithful preparation.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your faithfulness every morning and evening. Lord, when life is turbulent and I often feel overwhelmed, I ask that you grant me the same faith as Tong and Fu. Open my spiritual eyes, so that I may no longer focus solely on the hardships of my circumstances, but see the path of grace you have laid out for me in the smallest details. Lord Jesus, you are the anchor of my soul; in my weakness, I ask that you deeply root my heart in your promises. May I, like the sages of old, still rejoice in your provision even in the most isolated and difficult times. No matter what lies ahead, I believe that your love will never leave me. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
