Ephesians 3:20 “He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power which is at work within us.”
I often thought that as long as I planned meticulously enough, I could move things forward; but once I encountered obstacles, I easily became anxious and doubtful. Today, I saw again that my "desires and thoughts" were actually very limited, while God's actions far exceeded my understanding. When I was willing to continue obediently moving forward and handing over my small plans to Him, God did not respond in the way I expected, but revealed His will with a larger picture. He did not fix my plans, but used His power to accomplish what I originally dared not hope for.
Lord, I thank you. You know my limitations and are compassionate towards my weaknesses. Forgive me for often limiting myself to my own understanding and shrinking your abilities to my expectations. Today, I once again entrust my plans, work, and ministry to you, not asking you to do as I will, but asking you to guide me according to the power at work within me. Expand my faith, so that in my obedience I may see your works that exceed my requests and thoughts. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
