Romans 12:3 Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but soberly according to the measure of faith that God has assigned to each person.
Pastor Zhang Peiqian reminded me that those who truly know God are not in a hurry to prove themselves. Romans also teaches me to consider myself in a sober way, according to the faith God has given me. In my ministry, I often unknowingly cross the line, either overestimating myself or using self-reproach to mask pride. True humility is not usurping God's position, nor denying His commission, but simply standing quietly in the place God has given me to serve.
Lord, enlighten my heart, that I may neither exalt myself nor belittle Your work in me. Let me learn to be moderate in my ministry, neither stealing Your glory nor fleeing Your calling. Grant me a humble, teachable, and secure heart, so that all I do may be solely for You. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
