John 11:25-26 Jesus said to him, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life.” This made me understand that death is not the end, but the beginning of eternal life for believers. Although the body dies, those who trust in Jesus will have eternal life. Faced with the departure of loved ones, I am willing to reaffirm my faith, not be bound by fear, but live in the hope given by Christ. Death is merely a change of address; we will ultimately be with the Lord forever.
Lord, thank you for giving us the hope of eternal life. Help me to have steadfast faith and peace in the face of death and loss. Comfort those who are grieving, and let us not fear death, for trusting in Jesus brings eternal life and joy. Guide me, Lord, until that day I dwell with you. Amen.
