Psalm 16:11 You will show me the paths of life; in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
The happiness that people pursue is often fleeting and fragile, and I, too, am often drawn to these momentary satisfactions, only to find my heart still empty. Psalm 16:11 reminds me that true joy does not come from circumstances, success, applause, or possessions, but from the presence of God. John Parker's words, "Man's deepest satisfaction is in the glory of God," further help me understand that only when I treasure God can life find direction, meaning, and eternal joy. This path may not be understood by the world, but it is the truest and most steadfast.
Dear Lord, thank you for showing me the way of life. Help me not to be attracted by the fleeting pleasures of the world, but to dwell in your presence daily, seeking your full joy. May your glory be the center of my life, so that my pursuits, choices, and desires are all directed toward you. Lord, lead me to experience the eternal joys at your right hand every day, and let my life be a vessel that glorifies you. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
