"Marriage is not a story between two people, but a script written by God. He writes growth in conflict, grace in tears, and eternal love in forgiveness."
— Paul David Tripp

📖 Scripture Reference

1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

💭 Reflection

In marriage, we often expect our partner to be perfect, forgetting that we are all sinners in need of grace. Conflict, misunderstanding, and hurt are not terrible; what is terrible is clinging to our pride, unwilling to forgive, unwilling to let go. God reminds us, "Love covers over a multitude of sins." This doesn't mean hiding problems, but facing imperfections with grace and embracing weaknesses with love. Marriage is not sustained by feelings, but by selfless love and constant forgiveness, allowing God to write a story of grace and growth in each other's brokenness.

🙏 Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving marriage as a covenant of grace, not so that I may seek a perfect spouse, but rather learn to become more like Christ. Grant me humility and patience, that I may not be quick to blame in conflict, that I may forgive in hurt, and that I may support one another in weakness. May Your love cover the errors and shortcomings in our marriage, and that our family may become a place of grace and witness. May our love be rooted in Your love, and never cease. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
