Jeremiah 18:4 When a potter makes a vessel of clay, and it is spoiled in his hand, he makes it into another vessel; whatever seems good to the potter, he makes it.
The breaking God does in our lives is not to destroy, but to remake. Just as clay in the hands of a potter, even if it is broken, can be reshaped into a more beautiful vessel. We often resist being broken, not realizing that breaking is the beginning of renewal. Only by being kneaded, broken, and reshaped by God's hands can our lives become soft and obedient, becoming vessels that are worthy of His will and capable of bearing His glory.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your loving hand that never gives up on me. Even in my brokenness and tears, you continue to reshape me into the image of your Son. Lord, remove the hardness and pride from my heart and allow me to be transformed by you. May my pain be transformed into obedience, may my brokenness accomplish your will, and may my life shine in your hands. In Jesus' name, amen.
